In a previous news entry, we reported that Jem and Steve Vai were running a design contest for somebody to come up with a custom Ibanez Jem paintjob. Well, the winner has been announced and it’s congratulations to Alessandro Serrago on his winning design submission. You can see the winning design here. There’s also a link on the page which will take you to all the finalists.

Ibanez will produce 2 guitars with the winning design. One for Steve, and one for Alessandro. Not sure of the actual specs, but it’s a shame they’re only producing 2 as it’s a pretty amazing looking guitar.
